Compact, high-precision integrated current sensor with built-in insulation for demanding industrial and automotive applications.
The GXL AN is a 200A range Integrated Current Sensor (ICS) utilizing QFN package technology, which provides excellent power density for PCB current measurements with built-in galvanic insulation. This high-precision ICS allows current to flow through its primary pins without needing a core (coreless ic sensor).
The GXL product family offers a highly accurate solution for measuring both DC and AC currents in compact and demanding industrial and automotive applications. It uses a very small QFN package with large primary pads and wettable flanks for soldering and visual inspection. It delivers an analog voltage output with best-in-class accuracy and includes overcurrent detection (user-configurable and factory set).
Current flows through the primary pins (1 to 8), which have a very low internal resistance (<0.25 mΩ). The secondary pins are spaced 6mm apart from the primary pins to ensure adequate isolation.
These features make the device suitable for high-voltage applications requiring high precision and strong immunity to external fields, thanks to its differential sensing solution.
