The GXS Series is a LEM current sensor IC solution engineered for precise measurement of both AC and DC currents in industrial and automotive settings. This sensor is designed to reject interference from external fields in noisy environments.
Featuring galvanic isolation and advanced signal conditioning, the device delivers accurate current sensing through the primary conductor. The series includes variants optimized for different application requirements, from general-purpose current measurement to high-bandwidth (1 MHz), fast-response sensing suitable for modern power electronics based on SiC and GaN technologies.
The primary conductor (pins 1 and 4) exhibits a relatively low electrical resistance of 1.2 mΩ, ensuring efficiency with minimal power loss.
The GXS Series is capable of measuring currents ranging from 5 to 60 A while maintaining high accuracy over the full operating temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.
Furthermore, galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary sides eliminates the need for additional insulation, helping reduce overall system footprint and cost.
